Simply do the following in Terminal.

 sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tiheum/equinox
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install faenza-icon-theme
Done. Now right click on the desktop, select Change Desktop Background - Theme tab - Customize and then choose Faenza Icon Theme from Icons tab.
